Aaron is the first of our team to go under the spotlight; we thought it would be a nice idea for you all to get to know our team a little bit better and on more of a personal level. Check what Aaron wanted to be when he was younger, and what he loves doing outside of work.

Can you give us a two-sentence bio about yourself?

I like to think of myself as the average joe, but I also like to have a good laugh. In my spare time, I like to play football and chill with my friends.

What do you do at Focus on a daily basis?

On a daily basis, I manage accounts, and speak with new and old client to discuss their recruitment needs. As part of my role, I also keep up to date on new technology and recruitment trends, so I can be the best I can be!

What do you enjoy most about your job?

One of my favourite things about my job is working with candidates and finding them their dream role. It’s really nice to receive feedback when you have been working with a candidate one on one for a while. I also enjoy fulfilling clients recruitment needs and working closely with companies I never thought I would a couple of years ago.

What advice were you given in your career that has stuck with you?

I have always been told no matter how many times you get knocked down; you should get back up. Along with the good old saying of hard work always pays off.

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

As a kid, there were a few things I really wanted to become, a footballer, f1 engineer, physio and my personal favourite, a jockey!

How do you relax when you’re not at work?

When not at work I’m always out with friends either playing football or going to the pub. I also enjoy spending my time at the gym working out.

What are you most proud of?

I’m really proud of myself for completing my masters in documentary journalism, as it was hard work and required a lot of determination!

What is your guilty pleasure?

Hahaha, well, my guilty pleasure is watching funny cat videos!

Tell us something different about yourself?

Later in life I would like to write a stand-up comedy sitcom, I like to think of myself as a funny guy, and I enjoy making others laugh.
